First of all, hi! I’ve missed you all so much. There will be lots of posts coming up about where I’ve been and what’s new in my life – so don’t worry, you’ll get all caught up. I initially planned to do those posts first but then I saw this sale happening at one of my all time favorite stores and just had to tell you guys about it. Usually when there is an interior design sale, it’s on accessories or small accent pieces but not this time. This particular sale is all about furniture. Can you believe it?! Furniture almost never goes on all-inclusive sales. And this is none of that 10% off nonsense – it’s FORTY. That’s nearly half off World Market with the code FURNDEAL. I’ve compiled a list of all the things I am eyeing, broken down into different design styles so that you can snag what you want quickly and have it settled in your home before the holidays.
Mid-Century
I have been really into this style lately! My cousin Taryn has always had mid-century touches in her home and she’s completely converted me. What I love about this aesthetic is the super clean lines and rich colors. I’ve learned how to incorporate pieces here and there without making my house look like a home stuck in 1962. The trick is to choose pieces that are slightly modernized – a chair with channel tufting (very mid-century) with satin brass legs (more modern).
Traditional
This style will always be a classic – it’s called traditional for a reason. It reminds me of my parents’ house (you already know how perfect my mom’s taste is!) – super warm, inviting, and cozy. I love the warmth in the neutrals in the traditional style. The linen fabrics, dark wood, and gold accents all scream home to me.
Bohemian
Boho is the style I’d like to think I would have if I was just a tad cooler. When I think of the quintessential bohemian girl, I think of someone with a really relaxed style, great taste in music, and even better taste in furniture. My sister Kristen is totally boho! The light wood, touches of shaggy fur, and macrame accessories are so chic, in a super effortless way.
Modern Farmhouse
If you asked me five years ago if I would ever be into modern farmhouse decor, I’d say heck no. But that was before HGTV blessed us all with Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. She basically invented this style and perfected it at the same time. If you’re not familiar with the show (um, you should be!), think of this style as a combination of rustic wood, matte black metal, and cozy fabrics. Side note: check out one of my blogger crushes, Kasey, who just built the most stunning modern farmhouse in Idaho. It’s literal perfection.
