Next month, I am going to be hitting the slopes for the first time since I was a little girl! So basically, it’s the first time all over again! I am so excited for the snow, chilly weather, and gorgeous views but mostly, the fashion! Duh. Ever since we booked the trip, I have been studying up on ways to look chic even in the lowest temperatures. What I’ve learned is to wear as many layers as possible and top it off with something extra stylish. I am usually a firm believer in fashion over function but in this case, I really don’t want to freeze my buns off in Lake Tahoe. I have curated a few different lookbooks for you to follow for all the activities that come along with a ski trip! These ski trip essentials will keep you on-trend and cozy throughout your entire trip.
Looking stylish on the slopes can tough because everything needs to be waterproof, comfortable, and warm. While layering up with these activewear pieces and accessories, you will be able to shred with ease but you’ll still look cute! Win, win. How chic is that one-piece snow suit?! I am just dying. #snowbunnygoals
All of these pieces are perfect for daytime during your snowy vacation. After a morning of skiing, you are going to want to stroll around town and explore the local shops! It is important to wear a really cozy pair of pants – like the fleece-lined ones above – and waterproof shoes just in case the snow isn’t fully shoveled. Top it off with a warm cozy jacket and you’re all set for a day of fun in town!
Date night is one of my favorite things to dress for! In fact, it’s taken me quite a while to get the hang of more casual looks. I love dinner outfits because they’re always a bit more formal and you have that extra chance to be funky with accessories. Clearly, I am really drawn to the faux fur jacket trend! They’re practical for date night in the snow because they’re warm but don’t have to be too waterproof or functional. I really love the look of a delicate tulle skirt paired with a chunky knit – the juxtaposition of textures and styles just works so perfectly together.
Every vacation needs some relaxation time, no matter what! With a ski trip, I think that relaxation is best spent by the fire with a hot chocolate (try this one) in cozy clothes. I am have rounded up all of the coziest items I could find, from beanies to sweatpants to Ugg boots. Throw any number of these items on and get your chill on – or off, depending on how you look at it.
Are you planning on going to a Winter Wonderland this year? What are you going to wear?!

Thanks, Taryn!
I am partial to the lounge clothes as well. I think I will spend most of my trip cozied up!
