Invitations by Minted

I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I’ve found myself browsing around Minted.com to look at all of the beautiful paper goods and invitations. Before we even got engaged, I had an invitation picked out for every possible life event – wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, etc. You name it, I picked it! So when we actually got engaged and needed invitations for our first wedding festivity, our engagement party, it was a no-brainer to choose where to get them from. Even though I thought I had a final decision made, committing to one of the 1,000’s of amazing options proved harder than I thought. Luckily, Minted gives you the option to narrow your choices down by color, style, printing type, etc. I knew I wanted gold no matter what so being able to whittle it down that way helped a ton. Please note: addresses and telephone numbers have been removed from the photos for privacy reasons.

For the engagement party, I wanted to keep the invitations chic but simple. Of course this is a super important event but I wanted to leave the “wow factor” for the wedding invitation suite. After lots of deliberation, I decided on the Golden Yes Engagement Party style! It’s perfect because it has a touch of glamour with the gold detailing but it’s still neutral. This was important because I’m not totally sure what the party’s decor will be. My sweet mommy is planning the party, with the help of my wonderful future mother-in-law, so all I know about the party is that will be beautiful. That’s where my knowledge ends!

What I love about Minted.com is that they have the resources of a large retailer with the customer service and feeling of a small company. Each piece is designed by independent artists from all over the world! This allows you to support the creative efforts of independent artists easily while customizing the invitations of your dreams. For our invitations, we were able to customize the silhouette to have these scalloped corners – I think it added a bit of formality! Since Minted’s quality is already so high, I stuck with the standard printing and paper options and I couldn’t be happier with how they came out. To add a bit more glamour, we upgraded the envelopes to have a gold foil liner. Such a fun touch!

The absolute best thing about Minted is that they give you the option to have your envelopes arrived completely addressed. For FREE! It makes sending out invitations so much easier! Minted has a template for you to download and fill in – it’s basically an Excel spreadsheet with spaces for the recipients’ name, street address, city, state, and postal code. This ensures that your addresses will be printed properly on the envelopes. Once you’ve filled out and uploaded your template to Minted.com, all you have to do is pick an address style you like (I chose “modern delivery”). Please keep in mind that some of the printing options have limitations on characters. Before placing your order, make sure that each of the names fit on the envelope style you’ve selected. If you’ve never used Minted.com before, I highly recommend them! The quality of the product along with their attentive customer service has been so incredible.
