Fall Jackets Wish List

When you think of a coat closet, you probably think of a tiny closet near the front door to store guests’ jackets in the Fall and Winter. When I think of a coat closet, I think of a full walk-in to hold a collection of every single chic jacket in the entire world to wear year-round. Okay, okay! I admit it – I have a bit of a problem when it comes to jackets. Maybe it comes from growing up in Florida and never being able to wear them or maybe from yearning after Blair Waldorf’s extensive collection for years; either way, it is finally the time of year that my outerwear obsession is fully-acceptable. My Fall jacket wish list is everything I look for during this season – it’s full of warm tones, a variety of weights and fabrics, and everything from short-crops to full-length.

You have to prepare for everything in these months because the afternoons can feel as warm as the apple cider you’re sipping on but the nights can be unexpectedly bitter. That’s why I like to keep my collection really diverse in styles and textiles. During the day, I would wear something like the cropped burgundy biker jacket. It adds the richness that Fall outfits need while keeping the outfit casual and effortless. I would likely pair it with black leggings, a slouchy black sweater, and combat boots for a laid back vibe. At night, for something like date night, I would opt for the tan midi coat for an added layer of coziness.
