It’s only the third week of spring and I’ve already talked so much about ruffle sleeves. It is one of the biggest trends of the season and I can’t get enough of it. I was drawn to this top in particular because it has insanely dramatic ruffle sleeves but is still wearable because the rest of the top is so simple. The crisp white fabric and basic neckline make this a statement piece that you can easily incorporate into your daily wardrobe. You all already know how much I love bright white for spring and summer but my favorite thing ever is a pop of color to add contrast. In this case, I opted for a fun pair of statement earrings and a bright pair of shoes.
Whenever I wear a statement earring, I try my best to wear my hair in a way that accentuates them! Whether that means a high pony, chic topknot, or tucking one side behind my ear – I want the earrings to be the focus! This makes your accessorizing look much more deliberate and neat by not allowing them to be covered in hair or overpowered by other pieces. This applies to all statement pieces! If you’re wearing a pop of color on the shoe, make sure your pants are cropped enough that you can see the whole shoe. If it’s a flashy necklace that you want to show off, make sure your neckline accommodates that!
