This may be because I am in the Top 5 Nosiest People on Earth category but I am always really curious what people ask for and receive for Christmas. I know Christmas isn’t all about the gifts, blah blah blah, but I think it’s really fun to see what everyone comes up with to get each other. There is something really special about taking the time to pick out a gift specifically for someone that you think they’re going to love. Coming up with something you know the recipient is going to really enjoy is the best feeling ever! Everyone that got me a gift this year was SPOT on and I loved every single thing I got – seriously. Here are a few things I got for Christmas.
- T3 Whirl Trio – I think this may be the gift I am most excited about! First of all, it was a total surprise because my mom played stupid when I dropped insanely obvious hints about it (you sneaky, mom)! I have heard such amazing things about this wand so I was so anxious to try it for myself. Let’s just start off with the fact that it’s rose gold and white – I basically want to have it displayed in my bathroom at all times. But it’s more than just a pretty face! The trio comes with three interchangable barrels – a 1-inch, a 1.25-inch tapered, and a 1.5-inch. This is every single size you’ll ever need to make tight spirals to lived-in waves. It has 5 different heat settings so that you may customize it to your needs and hair type. I have only used it a handful of times so I won’t give a full review just yet but I am loving it so far.
- Steve Madden Edit Booties – These babies were on my list for months! I drooled over them every time I saw them in the store and planned outfits with them in my head. When they were under the Christmas tree, I just about died. They’re the perfect booties! With the height just above the ankle and a chunky heel, they’re totally on trend. After trying them on, I actually decided to return them because I wasn’t crazy about how they fit around my ankles. I recommend these for those of you with thin ankles – you will love these. They’re quite fitted around the ankle so you don’t have to worry about any gapping or slouching. I was really sad to return these because they’re so beautiful but I know I will find another pair of booties that are meant to be.
- Designer Inspired Ring – I haven’t taken this off since the moment I got it. My aunt, Patti, got this for me and my cousin, Taryn. I was immediately jealous when I saw Taryn open hers so you can imagine my excitement when I learned I was getting one too! This looks strikingly similar to a designer ring that comes in a little blue box, but it has a much more reasonable price tag. It’s 18K yellow gold so it will last a lifetime without tarnishing, which is perfect because it’s such a classic piece. This will definitely be added to my everyday hand stack!
- LuluLemon Pants – I’ve turned into a total Lulu-fanatic in the last few months. I used to roll my eyes at their prices and scoff at how they couldn’t possibly be better than any other workout clothes but you guys….they are. The fabrics are so comfortable and perform so well when you’re working out (or when you’re wearing them to run errands so that people think you worked out). I don’t know all the science behind their fabrics and materials but I am just glad I own them. You should too! I linked a pair that’s very similar to the ones I got because my exact ones are sold out. Don’t worry though, you really can’t go wrong with a pair of Lulu pants.
- Long Belted Puffer Jacket – I am so excited about this! I got it for my sister-in-law last Christmas and have wanted it ever since. It is SO cozy and warm but sleek at the same time. It’s so hard to find a cute winter jacket that doesn’t make you look like the Abominable Snowman. I need a jacket for my ski trip to Lake Tahoe this year (yay!) so I was pretty psyched when I saw this one on sale for less than $80! It also comes in petite which I totally love. Can’t wait to wear this!
- Clinique Take the Day Off Balm – I have been eyeing this for a while and recently fell even more in love with it when I got a deluxe sample as a Point Perk from Sephora. This balm is magical – it completely melts off even the most stubborn makeup, including waterproof mascara. I use this before I wash my face to break up all of my makeup and ensure I am left with a completely clean face. Love this stuff!
- Massage Envy Hot Stone Massage – Who doesn’t love to receive a pampering gift? This is always a go-to for me when I don’t know what to get someone. If you’ve never had a hot stone massage before, stop what you’re doing and go book one. It’s like a regular massage but a million times better. The masseur/masseuse basically uses smooth, warmed up stones to massage you instead of his or her bare hands. It’s a total game-changer. I love this as a gift because now I get to use it at my leisure and look forward to it the whole time. Such a treat!
- Ouai Hair Mask – I am saving this mask for a special day because it’s probably going to be amazing. The Ouai brand is the new kid on the block, created by celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. She is responsible for the stunning locks of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Chrissy Teigen, the list goes on and on. This mask is supposed to leave hair soft and shiny after just one use. I. Can’t. Wait.
- Capture Your Style – When I opened this gift, I almost shed a tear! Seriously, this was such a thoughtful gift that my brother and sister-in-law got me. I love it! I have carefully read and inspected every page so far and cannot wait to put it to good use to grow my blog and social media! For those of you who don’t know, this is a book written by blogger and social media guru, Aimee Song, all about how to perfect and grow your social media and transform your Instagram influence. Also, the cover is super cute so I can’t wait to display it on my nightstand.
- Sephora Favorites Ready, Set, Style Set – This particular set appears to be sold out online but I have still seen it in a couple stores so keep an eye out! If you see it, snag it. It’s such a great deal for all the styling products you’re getting. My mom hit the nail on the head with this one because every single product is right up my alley. I haven’t tried them all yet but full reviews will be coming soon. You can purchase all of these products separately here: Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish, Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo, Down and Out Dirty Spray, Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray, Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray.
What did you get for Christmas?! Did we get any of the same stuff?
