Chambray is one of my favorite materials for spring and summer – it’s breathable, easy, and has an inherently laid back vibe. I definitely own (and love) the traditional chambray button down but it’s always fun to find something with an added detail that makes it extra special. Since the material is usually so casual, I really love a chambray dress because it’s a bit of an oxymoron. The girly silhouette combined with the denim-like fabric makes for the perfect relaxed spring look! This one is particularly cute because it incorporates the spring trend of cold shoulder and has those sweet bows on the top.
To keep the look really effortless, I kept the accessories simple and neutral. I opted for a nude sandal and off-white bag to compliment the brightness of the blue hues in the dress. These sunglasses, which I get SO many questions about, may finally be able to be purchased again! Yay!! While they are back-ordered until the mid-April, they’re more available than they have been all year. Definitely take this opportunity and order yourself a pair of my favorite sunglasses of all time! You do not want to miss out on these – seriously.
These photos were taken at the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California. They’re only about 30 minutes outside of San Diego so if you’re ever in town while the flowers are in bloom, make the trip! The endless fields of ranunculus and bright colors are breathtaking. It doesn’t get much more Instagrammable than this, does it?!
