Bridesmaid Proposals

One of the best things about planning a wedding is choosing the people to share it with! Obviously everyone who is there is going to share in the joy and love on your wedding day but your bridal party is a little extra special. When it came time to officially pick my bridesmaids, it was basically a no-brainer. I am so blessed to be surrounded by incredible women that are such a huge part of my life so I knew they needed to be part of the big day. I have a beautiful sister, sweet cousin (who is more like a sister), and 5 perfect gal pals who will be standing by my side as I say “I do” to Andrew. Woo hoo! Choosing the girls was easy but coming up with a fun way to ask them took a little bit more time. Since all of my girls are dispersed across the country, I knew I would have to send bridesmaid proposals in the mail.

I wanted something that would be fun for them to open but wasn’t going to break in the mail. I considered a mini bottle of champagne and a customized glass (a super popular bridesmaid proposal!) but didn’t want to risk it breaking before it arrived. Plus, it didn’t feel quite like me! Then it dawned on me – what says “Lauren” more than donuts?! From that moment on, it was a done deal. All of my bridesmaids would receive a donut in their mailbox, complete with an official proposal that they could accept or decline!

I searched high and low for a cute box to send them in but I couldn’t find something quite right so I consulted with HH Paper Co on Etsy and she agreed to custom make me the boxes I had in mind! Between her eye for graphic design and my requests, my dream bridesmaid proposals were born! We collaborated to make these boxes that said “I DONUT want to get married without you” on the top and asked the fun question “Will you be my bridesmaid?” on the inside! I loved that HH Paper Co was able to customize each box to say maid of honor, matron of honor, etc. All of the girls received them last week (conveniently on National Donut Day!!) and were so surprised and happy. I officially have the best bridal party ever and cannot wait for all the fun we’ll have together over the next year! Next stop, bachelorette weekend!
