Whenever I am in a rut and I’m feeling uninspired with my wardrobe, the first thing I reach for is a monochromatic look. In this case, I decided to make the base of my outfit a black jumpsuit (also seen here, here, and here) and kept the rest of my accessories in the olive green color family. The reason for this is so that I am able to look stylish and put together without it taking too much effort. This keeps me out the door ready and feeling chic even when I think I have nothing to wear.
If you don’t already know, I am in a committed relationship with hats. This one actually stumbled into my collection because I was trying to disguise a present that I bought for my boyfriend, Andrew, and needed another shopping bag. Desperate times call for desperate measures, am I right?! But it has turned out to be one of my favorite hats in my collection. You wouldn’t think that olive green would be that wearable but I reach for it more than most of my hats in my closet. I love the way olive looks with black, navy, white, tan – the list goes on and on. As far as I’m concerned, olive is a neutral in my book!
I spoke about longline cardigans a few posts back (here) and the love affair continues. They have become such a staple in my wardrobe! They’re so easy to throw on over an outfit and add the perfect stylish touch. If you haven’t gotten one for yourself yet, do it!
