Trend Alert: Body Chains

With the holidays right around the corner, the party invitations are probably going to start rolling in. An open house here, a dinner party there, and before you know it – you feel like you need a whole new wardrobe just to keep up. Whenever I have a lot of events coming up, I like to spice my looks up with different accessories to avoid having to buy too many different pieces. One of my favorite things lately have been body chains. These have been around for a while but I have just recently started incorporating them into my wardrobe in a different way. Body chains are most famously worn under a skimpy shirt or with a swimsuit on vacation (so fab) but lately, I have been wearing them more like outerwear. They add an extra touch to the outfit without being too flashy yet they’re much more special than your average necklace.

With this look, I wanted the body chain to stand out so I just needed a simple shell dress to lay a foundation. I picked this one up a few months ago at Love Culture for $7 (such a steal) but I will link some similar ones down below for you. You don’t have to wear it exactly like I did, though! That’s the beauty of body chains – they are so wearable and versatile. When using body chains as a piece of jewelry, just try to stick to something basic! Nothing with prints, nothing with a lot of straps, and nothing with a complicated neckline. Adding these to your looks will allow you to take even the most basic staple to an amazing look for the holidays!

Can we just talk about these shoes for a minute? I have been searching all season for the perfect chunky heel sandals. I have found a couple here and there but there was always a little something wrong – the color was too pink or too yellow, the heel wasn’t chunky enough, or they were downright uncomfortable. But these…these are perfect. The color is the perfect neutral for Fall – just the right amount of warmth without giving off an orange hue. The heel is the perfect amount of chunky while still remaining modern. And they are so comfortable! They also come in a similar pair with a lower heel height – so perfect for everyday wear. I will link those down below also! Sam Edelman is such an amazing brand – they come out with the most innovative yet classic designs every season and their quality is amazing. Every pair of SE shoes I have ever owned have been remarkably comfortable and lasted forever. Basically, you need these in your closet for Fall and many seasons to come. Such a staple shoe!
