I have never been the girl to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day or search for the perfect red dress for Christmas parties but there is just something that feels so sweet about pink on Valentine’s Day. The whole holiday has such a fresh, feminine feel and since it’s so close to spring, I am usually craving some color by this point anyway. When I was putting this look together, I really focused on keeping the overall vibe really delicate. Nothing over the top and nothing too structured! But of course, I had to add a few touches of glamour or it just wouldn’t be me. This pink midi dress is the perfect solution – it’s flowy but still has texture because of the pleats, the ultra-fine straps add a sexy touch, and the length allows you to be comfortable without showing too much.
If I had to choose a length to wear for the rest of my life, it would be midi. It’s a classic look that doesn’t overwhelm you or show too much skin. Whether it’s skirts or dresses, this is a hemline I reach for constantly. Because it reaches just below the knee, it gives you the opportunity to have a plunging neckline or open back without being too much. Just like I have spoken about before, I always like to pair midi dresses or skirts with a high heel to avoid a frumpy look. This will give the appearance of longer legs and will thin out your ankles and calves!
What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Are you wearing a festive ensemble?
